You, Me, Church

Welcome

Three-year-old Julia said to her father, “You, me, church.”

He replied, “Oh, that’s nice that you want to go to church, but this isn’t Sunday.  We have to wait for Sunday.”

Julia persisted, repeating several times, “You, me, church.”

After much questioning, her father finally understood her request.  She wanted to spend some 1-on-1 time with him.  This pre-schooler has a special understanding of what church is supposed to be: spending time with God, the Father and others who love Him.

“Talk to Kids” is a collection of stories, memories,  lessons, and dramas for children, and the child in all of us.  These children’s messages and sermons are perfect for quiet time, or bedtime with your own children or grandchildren, for use in daycare settings or as part of Children’s Church or a church Worship Service.  The Sunday Scool classes and dramas can be used for any ages, and as classrrom skits or puppet shows.  There are also some Spanish lessons and dramas for bi-lingual or Hispanic settings.

You don’t have to be a pastor, or teacher or even a parent to talk to kids about God.  You don’t even have to have a special gift for relating to little ones.  They want more than anything to spend time with you.  You only need to love them and to want to share God and His kingdom with them.
Feel free to copy and use any of the resources you find here in your own time, work or ministry with kids.  You may also choose to adapt the materials using your own experiences or memories.  The more personal, the better since children love hearing stories about the people they know.
