Joyce Good Henderson is the author of five published nonfiction books, a photographer, homecare nurse, mother of five (all now young adults), and grandmother of 12 grandchildren under the age of nine. She has many years of experiences offering children’s sermons in church, teaching all ages of Sunday School classes, and in recent years, leading mission teams to Ecuador during which she holds VBS for 200-300 children.
Most of her children’s lessons originate from everyday activities, like finding a penny on the ground, having a skating accident, or sharing Christmas traditions.
Her book Children of the Kingdom is a collection of 52 children’s sermons, published by Thomas Nelson, Inc. Publishers.
